New Music You Should Totally Check Out This Week

It was a busy new music Friday last week, indeed.

And now the weekend’s over and everyone’s back to their businesses (as it should be, of course.)

From regulars like Olamide, to outliers like Wale Turner, and oldies like 9ice, here’s some new music from last week to get off to as you go about your business this new week.

Olamide — Rock

On the top of this list is obviously Olamide. Undoubtedly the biggest drop last week, “Rock” is the first single off Olamide’s forthcoming studio album, “UY Scuti.”

You could call it a preview of the kinds of sounds that are going to be on Baddo’s 9th studio album which is due out in June. Definitely worth checking out!

9ice — Iwaju

There’s just something about 9ice’s music that you can’t resist. If you’re the kind that enjoys some motivational and uplifting music, “Iwaju” is for you.

In recent times, 9ice has managed to put out quite a lot of content and not all of it is worth listening to, if we’re being honest. “Iwaju” though, is a gem.

Wale Turner — Asampepe ft. Idowest

Is Wale Turner back? Oh, the hell, who knows. The guy has been on and off anyway. You can’t do anything but just enjoy the music whenever he puts somethin out.

Asampepe” is some cool vibes. If your playlist has a lot of new school music, and the kind of sounds that are popular right now, this song would do just fine on it.

Erigga — Dick Appointment

Erigga dropped an EP last week too, and it’s such an amazing project. For one, every song on it is worth checking out. “Dick Appointment” is a stand out, though.

If you’re not downloading anything else, you should definitely download this one.

Destiny Boy — Teramo

The wunderkind came back with some new music, over the weekend. “Teramo” which was produced by 2T, is an uplifting amapiano tune about hustling.

It’s really nice hearing Destiny do this. The song sounds like something Small Doctor would do.

Kida Kudz — Ball Till We Fall Ft. Bella Shmurda

This is just Kida Kudz and young superstar, Bella Shmurda doing some amazing thing on some afroswing instrumental.

Ball Till We Fall has that kind of UK vibe, and it’s calm enough to fit in on any playlist. Definitely a hit!
